With just a few procedures, you can have the smile you’ve always wanted at Restore Health Dentistry. We serve patients in Lakewood and Los Alamitos.
TEETH WHITENING
Teeth whitening uses advanced, peroxide-based bleaching agents to destroy and remove surface stains from the enamel of the tooth, leaving you with a brighter, rejuvenated smile. At Restore Health Dentistry, we use Zoom! Whitening for powerful results. We offer both at-home and in-office whitening solutions, so you can choose the option that works best for you and your schedule.
DENTAL BONDING AND CONTOURING
Dental bonding is often used to repair teeth that have minor chips or are slightly misshapen. An advanced dental resin is applied by Dr. William, and shaped to match the surrounding teeth. Then, it’s hardened with UV light to complete the treatment.Contouring may also be used to remove small amounts of surrounding tooth enamel to provide a straighter, more attractive smile.
COMPOSITE AND PORCELAIN VENEERS
Yes. While this does depend on the type of treatment that’s right for you, it’s quite common to have multiple cosmetic dental procedures done at the same time. Dental bonding and enameloplasty, for example, are often done in the same appointment. Ask your dentist for more information, and to find out if you can have multiple procedures done at once.
COSMETIC CROWNS
Severely damaged teeth must usually have a crown applied to restore and protect them from further damage. Cosmetic crowns may also be used on teeth that are very small or otherwise misshapen. These crowns are typically crafted from porcelain and matched to the surrounding teeth so they look natural and blend in with the rest of your smile.
DENTAL IMPLANTS
Dental implants are the best choice for restoring missing teeth. Using a two-part design, dental implants bond permanently to the surrounding gum and jaw tissue, functioning as a replacement tooth root. Once this replacement root has healed, a porcelain crown is attached to the implant to function as an artificial tooth. Dental implants can easily last 30 years or longer, and they look and feel just like a real tooth.
BRIDGES
Dental bridges are a good alternative to dental implants, particularly for individuals missing two or more adjacent teeth. Two crowns are attached to your healthy teeth, and they are used to hold a “bridge” of false teeth in place, restoring your smile and preventing your teeth from shifting into the empty sockets.

WHY SHOULD I SEE a COSMETIC DENTIST?
A cosmetic dentist will prioritize the aesthetics of your smile while repairing damage, replacing missing teeth, and restoring decayed teeth back to health. While tooth functionality, strength, and health are all crucial to maintaining good overall health, the way you feel about your smile is just as important.
Feeling confident in the appearance of your teeth can play a huge roll in one’s mental health and overall quality of life. If you’re unhappy with the appearance of your smile because you have discoloration, damage, misalignment, or awkwardly shaped teeth, you don’t have to suffer in silence.
Book a consultation with Dr. Nancy William so we can assess your cosmetic concerns and goals. We will formulate a customized treatment plan based on your feedback and we can digital smile design for you to review and approve before we do anything to your teeth.
WHAT CAN COSMETIC DENTISTRY FIX?
Cosmetic dentistry is so versatile because it’s so expansive and we take a comprehensive approach to your smile – fixing not just the aesthetic problems with your teeth, but also the structural ones.
A cosmetic dentist will improve tooth function, strength, and aesthetics all in one treatment. We can reverse discoloration, correct misalignment, repair cracks in the teeth, fill in gaps where missing teeth used to be with tooth restorations, and cover up imperfections with bonding or veneers.
There are many different cosmetic treatments that can be used to treat a single problem and one cosmetic treatment can correct a whole host of issues. This gives us the ability to personalize your treatment with whatever your preference is.
If you prefer something that will keep your natural tooth structure intact with minimally invasive treatment, this will be arranged. Tooth restorations such as crowns, veneers, fillings, dental bonding, bridges, and implants can all be shade-matched to your natural teeth so they blend in with your smile.
By taking precise and accurate impressions of your teeth, we are able to fabricate restorations that look incredibly natural and perfectly fit over your existing teeth or with you natural bite.
IS COSMETIC DENTISTRY COVERED BY INSURANCE?
Unfortunately, dental insurance does not regard cosmetic dentistry as a medical necessity. Since cosmetic procedures are concerned purely elective, they are typically not covered by insurance. Dental insurance prioritizes preventative and restorative work.
However, some cosmetic treatments offer restorative properties, such as dental bonding which can fill in chips and cracks or cover an exposed root. If you can demonstrate that a cosmetic treatment was medically necessary to protect your teeth from damage, infection, or tooth decay, then your insurance may cover it. Contact your insurance provider directly to find out more. At Restore Health Dentistry, we accept financing through CareCredit if you do not have insurance.
